Advanced Academic Programs/ Miramar High School Receives Special Recognition
Miramar High School ranked 68th in the nation for Advanced Placement Exams passing Rate for African American/Black students scoring 3 or above. This placement is amazing in light of the fact that it entails over 4,000 schools across the United States.
Broward is now second in the nation, only to New York City, with regard to African American/Black AP performance and third in the nation with respect to Hispanic AP performance. To learn more about advanced academics, please click on link below:

Congratulations to Mr. Alvin Davis
Broward music teacher named finalist for national Teacher of the Year
The accolades keep piling up for Davis. He also is the county and the state's Teacher of the Year. Davis, 35, has been teaching for 11 years, the last eight at Miramar High.
We'll catch up with him this afternoon when he's scheduled to visit his high school and meet with the press.
